1. About ELA
ELA — Education & Learning Access (“ELA”, “we”, “us”) is a membership community operated in Malawi. Members access a forum and weekday tasks, including sponsored content and surveys, and may earn rewards as described below. By joining or using ELA, you agree to these Terms.
2. Membership and fee
Membership costs 12,800 MWK per year, paid once via mobile money (Airtel Money / TNM Mpamba) or another method we approve.
Membership is active for 365 days from the date your payment is confirmed.
Your phone number is your unique account ID. One account per phone number.
Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
3. Weekday tasks and credits
On weekdays (Monday–Friday) ELA may offer sponsored content and survey tasks.
Completing a task may award credits denominated in MWK, recorded in your account.
Credits have no cash value. They cannot be withdrawn, transferred, or sold. They may only be applied toward your next renewal.
Credits expire at renewal. Unused credits are forfeited.
Credit amounts and available tasks may change at any time.
4. Referral rewards
Each member receives a unique referral code.
When a person you referred joins and pays, the referral is recorded as pending.
A referral becomes verified only when: (a) the referred member’s payment has cleared, and (b) the referred member has remained active for 30 days and completed at least one task.
On verification, you earn 5,000 MWK cash, paid to your registered mobile money number.
There is no limit on the number of verified referrals you may earn, subject to these Terms.
The following are prohibited: self-referrals; referring the same person more than once; using duplicate or false phone numbers; fake, automated, or purchased sign-ups; any attempt to manipulate verification.
We may reject, reverse, or withhold any referral reward we reasonably suspect is fraudulent or breaches these Terms.
5. Where referral rewards come from
Referral rewards are paid from ELA’s operating funds, including revenue from sponsors and partners. They are not paid from, and are not derived from, other members’ membership fees.
ELA is not a multi-level or pyramid scheme: rewards are earned only for direct referrals and only after verification.
6. Renewal
Renewal costs 12,800 MWK per year.
Earned credits are applied as a discount at renewal, up to the full renewal price.
Credits not used at renewal expire.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: misuse the platform; post unlawful, abusive, or misleading content; impersonate others; scrape or automate access; or interfere with other members’ use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
8. Changes and suspension
We may change these Terms, the fee, reward amounts, or task availability with reasonable notice. We may suspend or end the programme; where we do, we will honour verified rewards already earned, subject to these Terms.
9. Liability
ELA is provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the membership fee you paid in the current year.
